Britains Got Talent Produces Susan Boyle Mark 2 Janey Cutler
After last years mammoth success of Susan Boyle on Britains Got Talent, young pretender to her crown Janey Cutler who is 80 years young has had a similar effect on the same show. Janey who comes from Lanarkshire amazed the judges and TV viewers that numbered millions on Saturday night with her rousing singing.
The grannie who sang the Edith Piaf classic, No Regrets had to be helped onto the stage by presenter Ant McPartlin and got a standing ovation from all three of judges including Simon Cowell. Since her appearance on the ITV talent show, the 80-year-old from Scotland has been drawing attention from the US with TV networks falling over themselves to get an interview with the singer many are dubbing the new Susan Boyle.
Already it has been claimed that a number of American TV stations have offered to fly the pensioner over to the US to get a first interview with the elderly would be star. Around 11.7 UK viewers tuned into Saturday night’s episode of the UK wide talent search to see the mother of 7 and grandmother of 12, perform on the show. Janey’s audition video has already had over 125,000 views on YouTube. Susan Boyle rose to fame in the US after her audition tape from the talent show became an internet sensation; if early signs are anything to go by, Janey could be headed in the same direction.
The OAP singer is now through to the next round of the competition after receiving three yeses from the judging panel which is made up of Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, and Simon Cowell.
