BBC launch new game show… about a game show!
Just when you thought that there were no more ideas left in the game show think-tank, BBC One (UK) decide to launch a show, based on the finest-ever contestant exits in TV history.
101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow, filmed in Argentina, is the newest form of entertainment to be placed in the Saturday night prime-time slot, and the BBC will hope that their latest brainchild will attract large viewing figures, despite the fact that little has been revealed about it before its release. There were also a few critical factors that viewers could make out from the short trailer and website information, which was that contestants will be asked questions as in a normal quiz show, but if they lose the round to their opponents, will face an elimination by means of a classic exit, meaning that a faliure to answer a question could result in being kicked into a pool, taking a bungee jump, or a ride on the catapault chair, amongst 98 other possible methods.
The new show, much like the successful Total Wipeout that also started in a similar position to it, is to be filmed in Argentina (possibly to get around any health & safety laws?), and will be presented by Steve Jones. The Welshman has previously worked on shows such as Channel 4′s ‘T4′, Sky 1′s ‘Guinness World Records Smashed’, and BBC’s ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ and ‘As Seen on TV’. He will be assisted by a co-presenter currently known as ‘Nemone’ (little else has been revealed).

As regards Nemone, she’s a fairly well-known radio presenter/DJ though “101 Ways” is easily her highest-profile TV job to date.
