Apps Are HBO Go With 1 Million Downloads In First Week

Everyone loves a good app, and if it shows streaming TV even better. But the new HBO Go app has had a sensational launch. The app has had over 1 million downloads in the course of just it’s first week available.

HBO Go gets 1 million downloads in a week

The app allows subscribers to watch premium TV whilst mobile around the house.It is available for users of Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

The launch was on 29th April and the downloading began.HBO Go has been available on PC since last year and lets viewers stream the top HBO content of movies, TV shows and documentaries. Viewers can watch catch up HBO content via the web on PC or Mac by login in.

At present there are around 1,400 titles in the catalog to view. But the service is not available to everyone that wants it.

Many pay TV customers can such up, companies such as AT&T, Dish, Verizon, and DirecTV are all participating in the HBO Go service. The problem is that some distributors such as Time Warner Cable are yet to commit to the service leaving their customers unable to sign up.
