How The New Apple iPad Can Take Over The Internet TV Market
Another successful Apple launch, this time it is the iPad which the LA Times said was:- “the most anticipated tablet since Moses.’” Maybe a little strong for the 10 inch touch-screen computer, but there is a very real possibility that the device will become dominant in the internet tv and movie market.

Apple Changing The Face Of Digital TV
The newspaper and publishing world have great plans for the device and are hailing it as a possible saviour to the industry helping to stem the flow of dwindling print subscribers and advertisers. However it is as a mobile movie/tv show theatre using wi-fi and 3G capability that may change the face of the industry.
As with the iPhone, the iPad will not be supporting Adobe Flash video or Microsoft Silverlight, meaning at present no streaming from Hulu, Netflix Direct, BBC iPlayer amongst others. However the device will be able to play media from the iTunes store, which now also has iBooks. And Apple has chosen a proprietary hardware and software design. This means that apps and content optimized to perform well on the iPad are not easily pirated.
Apple are also working on letting viewers store TV and movie purchases online via the cloud and are rumored to be negotiating with studios and broadcasters to reduce prices for tv downloads from iTunes to .99 cents.
So Apple have hardware which can (and probably will) be every bit as successful as the iPhone and complete with piracy free streaming abilities. Of course Apple need to approve all content on the device and will get a cut of all revenue.
Looking into the future, the iPad could become a very cheap product thanks to being subsidized by media sales, and its a given that it will be supremely popular, in fact if things go to plan Apple could easily be the dominant force in digital streaming.
