Currently users have not been happy with having to delete videos after viewing or stash them on hard drive or DVD’s. This new initiative will allow users to keep their collection on Apples servers to view anytime and anywhere. But what hasent been made clear is wether Apple will be charging for the service or giving it away for free.

This ‘iTunes Replay’ service will also be available on the Apple iphone and TV set-top box. Letting users stream content directly to their TV set or iphone with no hassle. Great for the devices not blessed with mammoth hard drive space.

Apple’s competition in the streaming tv on demand hardware, namely Netflix and Amazon have to be watched via a web browser and are not downloaded to your hardware. Apple will allow download or streaming options but with a much larger choice of content.

So another major brand entering the internet tv market but adding a few twists is great news for the video loving consumer.
