New $13K 75 Inch 3D HDTV From Samsung Is Biggest Yet
If you’ve Got around $13K to spend and a big house with an enormous area free, then you could do worse than buy the new Samsung 3DTV. The
Samsung D9500 is a 75″, backlit LED 3D LCD TV. It goes on pre sale in Korea later this month, but Engadget reports that it’ll hit The US shores in August for $13,000.
So it’s not for you if your on a budget. Still looking on the bright side, the D9500 does have all the trimmings that include Smart TV apps, The Samsung Hub, a Web browser, four pairs of active shutter glasses, and a dual sided remote control with the standard controls on one side and a QWERTY keyboard on the other. Refresh rate comes in at 240 Hz.
At 75″ diagonally, the D9500 sneaks past LG’s Infinia LZ9700, a 72″ backlit LED 3DTV that debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show in January but still isn’t on the market yet.
Mitsubishi smashes them both with its DLP TV’s, which max out at 82″ now and will hit 92″ later this year, but big screen DLP TV’s aren’t as conducive for well lit rooms as LED backlighting.
Backlit LED 3DTV prices rise drastically when you hit the high end. Samsung’s current 65″ TV, for example, has a $6,000 price tag, so you’re paying more than double to get an extra 10″ of screen.

don’t worry, the price will come down and five years from now this will seem on the small side – just like 32″ lcd are now little bedroom sets…we have them now in some of the conference rooms at work, they aren’t all that big. unless you live in a shotgun shack, you probably have plenty of room for one of these.
